SEALNet Mentors

 

The student planning team is supported by a great team of professional mentors who help the student leaders to grow, learn, and create better projects. SEALNet Mentors attend the project along with the project leaders and project teams but only in an advisory role, watching over, but not controlling the project.

 

Kwee Bin Teo Kwee Bin Teo, Board Member, Co-Founder

Kwee Bin (K.B.) Teo, a Singaporean, is currently starting up a collaborative community site for small businesses called mymightybiz.com, where small businesses can help each other. She is based in San Francisco, California. She was formerly, a team manager with the Boston Consulting Group and an investment banker with Mergers & Acquisitions shop, Lazard & Co., based in London, UK. She was also, for a summer, the Business Development Manager of a technology company sold to IBM in 2008. Kwee Bin is the creator of the SEALNet Service Leadership Program. She has gone for several projects in Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia. She holds honor degrees from Nanyang T. University and the Harvard Business School.

Kevin Teo

Kevin Teo, Board Member, Co-Founder

Kevin is currently Founding Partner and Director of Volans Ventures. He was previously Head, East Asia at the Schwab Foundation of Social Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership Fellow at the World Economic Forum . Prior to that, he has held management positions at software startups funded by Sequoia Capital (CenterRun and Clearwell Systems), was Principal Engineer at Sun Microsystems and developer at Trilogy software.

Kevin graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a MS in Information Networking, and holds a BEng in Computing from the Imperial College, London.

Leng Lim

Leng Lim, Board Member, Co-Founder

Leng Leroy Lim holds degrees from Princeton (BA), Harvard Divinity School (MDiv) Harvard Business School (MBA) where he delivered Harvard University's 350th Commencement Graduate Oration. An avid mountaineer who has led expeditions in Alaska, Leng was an interfaith chaplain at the University of California Irvine, and later a management consultant at Marakon Associates. Combining his different expertise in diverse fields, Leng is an Executive Coach who works with senior management on leadership development, and has consulted to clients in the US and Asia, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, The National University of Singapore and The California Wellness Foundation. He resides in San Francisco and Singapore.

 

Hung Nguyen

Hung Nguyen, Director of Leadership Development

Hung Nguyen is a leadership coach and facilitator of transformative and an educator. He conducts retreats for senior management teams at educational institutions, healthcare and community service agencies. Hung is the Direct Mentor of Leadership Development SEALnet. Hung was the founder and artistic director of Club O’ Noodles, the first Vietnamese American theater company. He received his certification in coaching and co-active leadership from the Coaches Training Institute and holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He is a candidate for a Masters of Education at Columbia University, specializing in Organizational Leadership and Adult Learning.

Jukay Kwek

Ju-kay Kwek

Ju-kay is currently a Principal Product Manager at CA Wily Technology, where he directs software product strategy. Ju-kay also has experience in early startups, social activism and technology research. Having mentored two SEALNet project teams, he is a Core Leader for SEALNet's professional mentors.

Ju-kay is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University. He holds degrees in Software Engineering and in Architecture.

Jianwei Low

Jianwei Low

Originally from Malaysia, Jianwei Low graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He co-led Project Thailand '08 (Water Sanitation and Conservation) and was also actively involved in fundraising for SEALNet. Jianwei currently works at McKinsey & Company in Kuala Lumpur, where he aspires to bring positive change to the Malaysian government, business and social communities. Jianwei is always up for good food, drinks and friends.

Arthur Grau

Arthur Grau

Arthur is a program designer and media producer. He currently develops the suite of in person and online tools dedicated to the Digital Connectors initiative with One Economy Corporation. With 15 years experience as an artist and designer and with an affection for social change through personal and team development, he believes through clear outcomes, thoughtful personal networking and high quality edu-tainment we can each have a positive impact on personal and social development locally and globally.

Mike Orgill

Mike Orgill

Mike recently graduated from Stanford University as an International Relations major. Mike grew up in Malaysia and has traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia. Outside of school he loves playing any kind of sport, great movies, and travel.
